This was a great vid. This was my intro to Baki and never knew this arc went so deep.

What I don't like about Jack is that he is an idiot. Baki trained properly, rested when he had to rest, and what he lacked in brute strength he compensated in other ways one step at a time. Jack destroyed his body with bad training, and instead of trying to do things in a more intelligent way he just went straight for drugs. I don't mind his character as a narrative tool, it is a cool concept as the opposite of Baki, but I think some people overhype his character, maybe people see him as a natural underdog for he didn't start with Baki's advantages and opportunities... But he didn't even try to train properly, he went straight into destroying his body. Also, the thing that bothers me is that his character is "I sacrifice my future for my present" yet we always seem him being perfectly fine. He doesn't really suffer the effect of the drugs, I assume his balls ar the size of rice but that must be it.

Great video. Huge fan of this manga, just read it today and it blew me away. I really do think this manga presents such a raw form of happiness. Ordering the LN soon. Have you read it?

Spec is definitely my favorite inmate. He was just a joy to watch and I loved how he accepted his defeat. I don't think his "cheap tricks" were unfair because they said from the beginning everything is allowed.

I like to have all my Shonen Jump mangas together and I personally prefer getting omnibus versions of manga so a lot of the ones I listed are in 3 in 1 omnibus editions. I wish a lot more had omnibuses, but I’m still super happy with my collection and can’t wait to get more. I also have a lot of these as anime DVDs and Blu-Rays and many other like all the Studio Ghibli movies, Code Geass and so much more. I also have a ton of different anime character collectibles from series like Naruto, One Piece, Dragon Ball, Bleach, Yu Yu Hakusho, Hunter x Hunter, My Hero Academia and many others.

I have a question. What's in it for Kazuma? At this point of putting up with his version of the Three Stooges? What does he get out of it? Kazuma's situation has been challenging, as he's been encountering a regular of dealing with the aftermath of his companions' actions. Since he arrived in the new world, he has faced a continuous stream of problems, primarily due to the debts incurred from the damages caused by his party. His companions, often seen as incompetent, seem to excel only in creating chaos, which invariably leads to Kazuma's suffering. Without Kazuma around, they would likely face dire consequences such as starvation, imprisonment, execution, or worse. I understand that Kazuma has expressed a fondness for his companions, forged through their shared adventures and the bond of friendship. However, there are moments when their behavior is unbearable, and he feels more like a babysitter than a friend. The question arises: what have they contributed to Kazuma's well-being in return for his numerous sacrifices? They owe him a great deal for all he has endured on their behalf, including multiple instances where his life was adversely affected.

Criminal arc was start of the fall of Baki to me. Shame the Netflix series literally skips everything before it. It goes from "Baki, grappler, and his journey of self-discovery" to "lmao what random rejects can we have the core cast beat up this time"

Honestly despite the criticisms, when I actually read the Arc I was pleasantly surprised. It actually made me appreciate Sumo more as a fighting style. Sukune and Hino Choko from Tenkaichi made Sumo cool to me when for a long time it was just "Ha ha, fat man showing his asscrack" no thanks to old western media.

Unfortunately, I can't agree with your opinion. My opinion only relates to the anime, as I haven't read the manga: First of all, Unknown was established stupidly, they basically introduced the fate and predestination debate with her and therefore you needlessly question whether everything was decided by fate, whether Unknown's manga contributed to Fuko falling in love with Andy, and if so, what exactly, etc. Unknown feels less like a well thought-out character that was hinted at from the beginning, but more like a character that has been linked to some character elements from Fuko (the manga) combined with the vision of the future combined with the convenient artifacts to make Unknown relevant so late in the story. She was purely a plot device to link Andy, Fuko and Victor and to give Andy, Fuko and RIP a powerup. Her flashback and character adds no substance to the story and left the arcs before with a strange aftertaste. If the mangaka says he inserted himself into the story as Unknown and Unknown is basically supposed to represent the mangaka of Undead Unluck and the final sentence of the season is "this is a story about a boy who controls his cast of heroes" (something along those lines) then I think at best "okay" and if the mangaka didn't introduce Unknown so that he could identify himself, then Unknown was far too forced and implemented in a goofy way.

Every single time I read/watch the fall arc I start crying because of Anno Un. He is such a sad and beautiful character that I believe embodies the spirit of Undead Unluck. I really hope that they get a chance to shine without Unknown in 101
